In
the summer of 2013, the Club built an amateur radio station in the
Dunkirk Salvation Army Building. The station was made possible largely
through a grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. The
club greatly appreciates the support of the Foundation and the
Salvation Army in bringing this asset to the Northern Chautauqua area.
"W2SB
Station" operates on HF, VHF, and UHF, using all modes, including
digital. Security cases house the radios, power supplies, and cooling
fans. Backup power is supplied by batteries and a generator.
